Learn to Lift workshop will take place in GSP Gym on Sunday February 2nd at 12pm.

What does it cover?
The workshop will include:

  • – Learn how to squat, bench press, deadlift along with the fundamental movement patterns that are used in most exercises
  • – Common mistake people make in the gym and how to fix them
  • – Program design & periodisation based on your goals
  • – Strength training for sports
  • – Q&A session at the end of the workshop where our coaches will answer any questions that you have

Who is this for? Anyone can attend! People with little to no experience lifting weights, beginners and intermediate lifters, and anyone who wants to learn how to lift properly and get the best results out of their training.

Where is the gym? GSP Gym is located in Ballybane Industrial Estate (across the road from Kieran Farrell Tyres). Click here to see us on Google Maps.

Coaches Matty and Ayshea have a wealth of knowledge to offer you, having both competed and coached at many world championships worldwide, along with helping countless people achieve their goals.

The gym is one of the best equipped gyms in the country. Along with 5 racks, there's a monolift, squat bar, deadlift bar, calibrated plates, 1000s of kilos of plates (steel and bumpers) and more strongman gear than you could know what to do with.

Fantastic gym for all levels

Fantastic gym for all levels from beginners who are not used to the gym right through to high level strength athletes.
Matty and Ayshea are both fantastic trainers and very knowledgeable in all areas from programming to nutrition and recovery, and are always happy to give advice or help in any way they can.
There are a wide range of classes and membership options to suit different needs also.

Matty and Ayshea are both fantastic trainers and very knowledgeable in all areas from programming to nutrition and recovery, and are always happy to give advice or help in any way they can. When you start off, Matty and Ayesha are so attentive and help you out showing you the movements until you're comfortable to go off by yourself and even then they are always there to help with technique and give advise on how to get the best out of your training

It’s a very welcoming and supporting gym

I've being under guidance of Matty and Ayshea for over 2 years for strongman, and the progression I have made is incredible.

I not only notice my own performance and drive increase, but everyone around me as well. I've seen some seriously impressive shows of strength by both men and women from this gym.

I've also seen people start off with little to no experience in the gym earn big improvements over after a few months.
It's a very welcoming and supporting gym so no need to be shy, we all started from the beginning and so can you.

Galway Strength and Performance has everything that anyone could want in a performance facility. Both Ayshea and Matty are exceptional coaches. The facility has all the necessary equipment and space for anyone in the strength and performance field.
